We asked Nathalie for some advice on how to improve our parenting of our (then) three and a half year old, especially in light of the fact a little brother had newly arrived. Nathalie’s advice was invaluable and changed some of the things we were doing and reinforced others. Without doubt Nathalie’s informed advice improved the way we parent. Nathalie, I want to send you a note of thanks as we are now living in a much calmer and more cohesive world with our precious eight year old. When you first met us and talked through some of the changes of behaviour for all of us, I thought you were bonkers!!!! I couldn’t see light at the end of the tunnel. I called upon Nathalie after reading her blog, which is a permanent resident in my ‘favourites’ folder. She was welcomed into our home with scones and tea (Cajun style as we forgot about them!) and we sat around chatting like old friends. I felt very comfortable discussing the issues we were having with our toddler and watched on as Nathalie interacted with our daughter in the most delightful way. My 11 year old daughter was having big social issues at school, feeling like she wasn’t fitting in and being bullied. She was up till late every night, night after night, debriefing on the days events and school was very sad for her. It was really affecting her whole life, and that of our family. Nathalie came to help after we had been poked and prodded by so many other ‘professionals’ who seemed eager to help, but did anything but. Even though we are in Sydney, and Nathalie in Melbourne, she quickly called and listened to my concerns, my fears and made some valuable suggestions immediately. A steady stream of follow-up calls and emails ensured we were not left floundering. Nathalie has made such a difference in our family’s life. Somehow Nat has the ability to see reason where reason does not exist amongst the frustration and anger that comes with living with ADHD. Simple ideas we have been able to adapt in our house that makes a difference daily and helps towards creating harmony. I contacted Nathalie and from the first minute we spoke, she was wonderful. Very friendly, personable, easy to talk to and genuinely wanting to help. My son had recently started using the toilet as an excuse to get out of bed at night and extend his bed time. I couldn’t just ignore him as we are toilet training and I had no idea what to do. I have been a follower of Easy Peasy Kids and often enjoy the posts and links Nathalie provides on various topics relating to parenting and issues concerning to our children.
